HIV Awareness Month Resource Fair

December is HIV Awareness Month and with many struggling right now we are pulling together local organizations, businesses, and community members in Pueblo to raise awareness and provide resources in the week leading up to the holidays!
The Resource Fair will be held Sunday, December 19th from 2-6pm. We’ll be providing FREE HIV/STI testing, hot food, hot drinks, winter gear, clothing, self defense kits, insurance enrollment, mocktails, movement classes, educational games & activities, haircuts, and an art making station.
Services, supplies, and tabling are being provided by: CDPHE, Vivent Health, El Movimiento Sigue, Access Point Pueblo, Southern Colorado Harm Reduction Association, Pueblo County Health Department, The Chinook Center, Pueblo Drip, Rocky Mountain Sex Worker Coalition, The Sacred Bean, Roadside Remedies, and Los Brown Berets de Colorado.
Pueblo Drip will be hosting a gift & winter gear drive leading up to the event, stop by Tue-Sat 11am-6pm to drop off items like: toys, body care packages, tents, blankets, sleeping bags, and new /gently used outerwear & warm clothing items!
Event Accessibility notes:
The front entrance and main floor of the venue are wheelchair accessible and food/beverage service and tables will be located outdoors on the packed dirt lot behind the building which can be accessed either up a set of concrete stairs through the back entrance of the building or via a half block walk around neighboring buildings to the back lot. There is one bathroom that is elevated from the main floor by a single step. The movement classes will be hosted in a lofted event space that is located on the second floor up a flight of stairs and can accommodate appx 10-15 people per class with an additional virtual participation option. Masks and distancing will be required inside of the venue at all times.
