Winter Solstice Lantern Parade

The Pueblo Friends of the Arkansas River will be hosting our first Winter Solstice Lantern Parade along the Pueblo Levee River Trail. We will be gathering at Pillar Park along the Arkansas River, downstream from the new Pedestrian Bridge.
We are planning a community drumming starting at 4:45 feel free to bring your instruments, at that time we will be gathering with lanterns for people walking in the parade and the bicycle people with lights on their bikes will lead the parade over the pedestrian bridge heading west to the murals around 5:30 pm.
The community is welcome to join us, bring a lantern to help us celebrate the shortest day of the year. We will be sharing ideas, resources for making lanterns, and updates for our event.
